Karla Thomas Art

Working with Karla was a joy, although she probably doesn’t know it. For some people, it might be daunting to work with and for another artist, but for me it was a challenge and opportunity.

Karla has an eye for color and style, and she knew what she wanted from the beginning. It was a learning process for both of us, as we collaborated on the design of her logo, site, and business cards.

Her site continues to expand and grow as she learns to blog, post new paintings, and update her new found Facebook fans as to her next art show.

It was quite an undertaking for Karla to learn a completely new process while preparing for her first big solo show, and she handled the pressure well. We were able to get her painting added to her site, and her blog updating to her Facebook page all before the big opening day. She even had business cards to hand out!

The Process

It was a bit of the “cart before the horse” scenario, as I started on the site before we had a solid logo finalized and color scheme chosen. The site was coming along great, and we were preparing to work on business cards. That’s when when we had to backtrack and finish the logo. The logo is a stylized signature, giving all of Karla’s work that “signature look” an artist deserves.

Once the creativity was flowing, the site, logo, and business card design almost completed itself! Karla was under a lot of pressure to complete many things by her big deadline, and we were able to accomplish all that was needed. Her testimonial below sums it up:

“Daniel made it easy by working carefully to make certain everything looked just as I wanted it to.  He was diligent in working toward my deadlines so I didn’t have to worry and quickly responded to any needs and inquiries. D2 Graphix made training simple and understandable.”

Dan, wow...somehow I didn't know about your new and IMPROVED site .... it totally rocks! I know you have spent a LOAD of hours on it and certainly it will prove to be worth your while when the new business starts pouring in. And, I also didn't know I was a part of your PR, (you asked for a written testimony but I didn't know how you would use it) which gives me good press as well! Your work is Amazing, keep it up!

Well, I haven't fleshed out this site too much yet, been busy on another website (www.boivalet.com)

Thanks for your compliments, and I look forward to continuing to work together!
Hopefully we'll soon see a new site up for the Charon's chapel, that's my next project.

Thanks again for the written testimony...

Daniel
